City Administration-Sampoerna Sign Agreement Support given for schools in Surabaya

Surabaya (Jawa Pos: 18/07/06) Surabaya municipal government and PT HM Sampoerna signed a MoU on School Quality Improvement Program at the city hall. Through the SQIP program, the cigarette company will provide support for two selected schools in Surabaya.

SF Aims for the 90,000 KIS FM Listeners

Campaign of Education Issues through Radio Jakarta, 30th June 2006. Sampoerna Foundation and KIS 95.1 FM Radio in Jakarta signed a Memorandum of Understanding to air the Indonesian education issues to the public. The signing was conducted by the Foundation’s Communication Director, Sapto H. Sakti and Station Manager Radio KIS 95.1 FM Jakarta, Yance Muchtar.

Post-National Examination Policy Assessing Education TVs effectiveness

Jakarta (Kompas: 17/07/06) It is interesting to study the National Education Ministry’s plan to launch education TV starting from July 17. The program, held in collaboration with the TVRI, will air three subjects tested in the national examination every Monday-Thursday at 07.pm to 09.30 pm. The program is targeting 3rd graders in 28,376 state-run and private junior high schools in 353 regencies/municipalities having limited facilities and have not achieved a certain standard. Our question is, how effective is the program that absorb up to Rp 213.69 billion?
