| Institutional Development Program |
|
The idea of establishing the Institutional Development Program (IDP) evolved as the Sampoerna Foundation recognized the need for a world-class business school in Indonesia. None of the business schools that were currently operating in the country made it on-to the list of the Best Business Schools in the Asia-Pacific region (according to Business Week 2004). The first of these programs materialized through a collaboration with School of Business and Management-Institut Teknologi Bandung (SBM-ITB). Sampoerna School of Business and Management-ITB The national and regional demand for business leaders and entrepreneurs who possess personal integrity, strategic intelligence and competitive spirit has brought together two leading institutions. SBM-ITB and Sampoerna Foundation are working together to actualize a shared vision: to develop the world class Sampoerna School of Business and Management. SBM-ITB’s Jakarta campus constitutes a major part of the Foundation’s vision to ensure the provision of quality post-graduate business education through its Institutional Development Program (IDP). Highly qualified and professional faculty members are ready to challenge students to rise to the highest levels of academic excellence. Whether they enroll in the Executive MBA programs or its diverse, high impact programs in energy, telecommunications and marketing, at Sampoerna SBM-ITB, participants learn in a simulated Indonesian business environment through the case study method prepared by Sampoerna SBM-ITB’s own Indonesian Business Case Center (IBCC). In addition to these programs, Sampoerna SBM-ITB also provides business consulting services and a faculty development program, which together with its quality programs, positions the institution on the path toward becoming the preferred executive education center in Indonesia. |
