31st March 2006. Pricewaterhouse Coopers FAS has joined the list of companies that offer an internship program to Sampoerna Foundation scholars and alumni. As one of the largest accounting and taxation firms in the world, the addition of this company is a major step forward for the Foundation and its scholars.

The opportunities now available to graduating scholars are forever increasing, and the Sampoerna Foundation is at the forefront of these offerings. The comprehensive list of companies that the Foundation can offer, make it an attractive choice for potential scholars.

Pricewaterhouse Coopers is a welcome addition to this line up, the agreement being signed by Mr. Rizal Satar, President Director of Pricewaterhouse Coopers, and Mr. Eddy F. Henry, Sampoerna Foundation’s Director of Program and Alumni Affairs. The two proclaimed the joint venture a major step forward in giving these underprivileged yet academically brilliant students a fairer chance in life.

On the same day, a new internship agreement was also created with a strong performer in the Indonesian business world. KAP Haryanto Sahari & Rekan have joined forces with Sampoerna Foundation to provide internship positions for young rising stars. These academically brilliant scholars will have the chance to explore the major functions of this business through a series of rotations inside the company.

Senior Partner of KAP Haryanto Sahari & Rekan, Mr. Haryanto Sahari, signed the agreement stating he was happy to be giving the young scholars this opportunity. Sampoerna Foundation, represented by Mr. Eddy F. Henry, happily signed the agreement praising the company’s decision to accept fresh scholars into their workforce.

The partnership is expected to span several decades creating many diversified career paths for scholars who wouldn’t have had this opportunity, if it had not been for the Foundation and this joint agreement.
