EduFUND FAIR Education Care Program

Jakarta (Seputar Indonesia: 12/07/06) Not less than one thousand people visited the EduFUND Fair education program held in Supermal Karawaci. Held last week-end in the North Parking Space of Supermal Karawaci, the program was opened by Sampoerna Foundation’s Communication Director Sapto H Sakti, together with PT Supermal Karawaci’s Director Heru Nasution.

This event is part of a cooperation program between Supermal Karawaci and Sampoerna Foundation called, “Hope for Better Tomorrow.” The purpose of this program is to collect fund for education in Indonesia through interesting activities and games for the whole family.

Visitors could indirectly participate in increasing education quality in Indonesia by taking part in various games and or shop in EduFUND Fair’s market. The fund raised from the events will be spent for education in Karawaci and its surrounding areas.

“Since the beginning we have agreed to channel the fund raised from this EduFUND Fair through Sampoerna Foundation for scholarships for school-aged children in Karawaci and its surrounding areas. Currently, 55% or 2.2 million of children between five and 24 years-old in Banten Province do not have access to education,” Sapto explained. The EduFUND Fair consists of various entertainment program, bazaars and interactive games for the whole family (family fun game).

Visitors could watch the clowns, Flying fox (game using propelling device), fun memorial booth (a stand for face painting, t-shirt photo, hair coloring, and temporary tattoo), drawing competition, and other family games. The funds raised from the registration will be channeled for education scholarships in Karawaci and its surrounding areas.

Meanwhile, Senior Leasing & Marketing Communication Manager of Supermal Karawaci Jannywati said the relationship between Supermal Karawaci and surrounding community should be maintained, to allow both sides to create a better environment. Her company hopes that this program will increase the awareness of Supermal Karawaci’s visitors, tenants, and the whole management regarding education in Indonesia.
