; "Click to see real size") European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) is an international organization acts as a catalyst to promote and enhance excellence in management in Europe and worldwide. With more than 600 member organizations from academia, business and public sector organizations in more than 70 countries.
One of EFMD services is the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) which is the leading international system of quality assessment, improvement, and accreditation of higher education institutions in management and business administration. Its scope covers all programs offered by an institution from the first degree up to the PhD, including non-degree programs. EQUIS has established its prestige and recognition worldwide.
In its 2007 Annual Conference held in Brussels, Belgium, 10th June 2007, EFMD formally announced School of Business & Management Institute of Technology Bandung (SBM-ITB) as one of its new members. After gone through a thorough process, together with Sampoerna Foundation assistance and support, SBM-ITB is now the first and only Indonesian institution accepted in EFMD membership. This acknowledgement shows EFMD confidence in SBM-ITB missions in the development and enhancement of management and business in Indonesia. |
