SF Media Partners Support Education in Indonesia

Sampoerna Foundation (SF) held a “SF Media Partner Executive Lunch” event at Cilantro Bistro (07/25) in order to strengthen SF’s ties with its media partners who have been supporting SF programs through disseminating information on the state of education in Indonesia up to now. As many as 11 media institutions responded to the invitation from SF: JAK FM, Aneka Yess!, The Jakarta Post, MRA Group, Her World, KIS FM, Free Magazine, Aliansi Jurnalis Independen, Kabar Magazine, Bisnis Indonesia and Kompas.

This event was opened by Elan Merdy, Chief Operating Officer for SF, and Sapto H. Sakti, Director of Communication for SF, which was followed by the presentation of plaques from SF to its media partners. The plaques were a sign of SF’s appreciation for the media who have been supportive by informing the public about its various programs and activities. He program was concluded with lunch and socializing.

”We are truly thankful to our media friends who have helped us get information out to the public concerning the current condition of the education sector in Indonesia in order to motivate communities to make an effort to improve the situation in education. Without the support of the media, we would never be able to get this information out to the public,” Elan said on the sidelines of the event. 

It can be expected that, with the support of the media, the education sector in Indonesia will see a better and brighter future in order to achieve the creation of a society with people of high level intellectual capacity who can enable Indonesia to compete with other nations globally.
