Page 1 of 4 Jakarta (The Jakarta Post: (27/11/07) Around 1,000 teachers from across the country will participate in the Indonesian Teachers Conference slated for Nov. 27-28 in Jakarta. Ten selected teachers will also be presenting their papers before the plenary session of the conference (The Jakarta Post, Nov. 15). The event needs support from the general public now that teachers are moving toward a new paradigm that perceives teaching as a professional job.
