Jakarta (Sinar Harapan: (10/12/07) After the success of reaching a break-event point with her directing debut in ‘Betina,’ Lola Amaria is now taking a break from film production. She uses this opportunity to participate in independent movie-making workshops in several high schools in Yogyakarta, Surabaya and Bandung. Next Thursday to Saturday (13-15/12), she will join the same program run by the Sampoerna Foundation in Aceh.
“I only want to motivate them. Anyone can make a movie, like me who never attend a special school. The most important is their will and interest. I guide them in practical works,” Lola Amaria said while attending a media gathering on national film last Sunday (9/12). "I give them ideas from their daily life, like ‘killer teachers,’ dirty school cafeteria and restrooms or deserted school library," she added.
Concerning her new film, Lola said she is now preparing a script about adults who are ‘addicted’ to love. When being asked about the actors in the movie, she said that the leading man is about 35 year-old and the leading lady is about 28. The background is academic world and office. |
