Founded in 2010, the Centre for Research, Development and Engagement (CRDE) draws on a broad range of educational experience at SSE to engage in innovative research, developmental and community programming on critical educational issues in the Indonesian context. The CRDE also inputs on the strategic management of an ever-increasing number of SSE school partners. Partner schools host SSE student teachers as part of their field training and SSE reciprocates to partner schools by providing a range of professional development opportunities. Position: School Partnership Liaison Officer

Responsibilities:
- Act as an intermediary between School Partnership Coordinator and SSE partner schools
- Conduct regular site visits to SSE partner schools and provide managerial, financial and clerical support for the smooth functioning of the school partnerships and school experience programs
- Help consolidate planning, budgeting, and reporting processes of the school partnership and school experience program
- Liaise with SSE partner schools to ensure that the annual professional development programming provided by SSE is demand-driven and results-orientated

Responsibilities:
- Develops and continuously enhances the function of his/her team in supporting SA Programs. This includes developing annual plan for staffing / hiring, assessment and development
- To ensure that SA division follows the organization’s and other depts’ current rules and regulations as well as procedures (SOP). This includes overseeing and developing written internal procedures to ensure efficient operations and proper administrative processes
- Regularly review the needs of his/her team including conducting performance appraisals every six months on how his/her team has performed and what the team can do to improve in their jobs. This includes revising staff job descriptions when necessary to increase efficiency and achievement of the team ; initiating informal measures to correct misconduct or making recommendations for formal discipline
- Oversee and control the expenditure of budgets and ensure cost-effective management of a program. This includes alter the existing purchase request and claim request when it is appropriate. He/she will do verification and a validation in monitoring or managing the budget expenditure. He/she is mandatory to alert or notify his/her superior and program manager for discrepancies, anomalies, risks, etc
- Prepare annual SA dept’s operational budget and oversee annual program budget as well as quarterly budget relocation for donor and non donor budget
- Implement and maintain efficient office management policies and procedures. Performs personnel administrative tasks, including:
- Coordinating and participating in the hiring and promotion process
- Supervising the training of new employees and the ongoing training of other employees
- Resolving unusual employee problems
- Supervising employee time and attendance records
- Maintain a general understanding of the goals, program and activities of SA schools
- Undertaking activities relating to day-to-day interpretation and communication of events, activities and processes under the jurisdiction of SA Manager and Education Programs Director. Develops operating procedures, forms and systems
- Recording, scheduling of events, meeting and briefing relating to SA activities involving SA team, SA Manager, the consultants and the Education Programs Director
- Embedding best practice on efficiency and sustainability, Supervises the activities performed in all work units within an office, including office management, implementation of procedures, case management and processing, records management, collection and reporting of statistics, and accounting functions
Requirements:
- Holds min S1 from or Business Administration / Management , from top university in Indonesia
- At least 5 years experience in Program Support Management/ Administration, at supervisory level
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical skills, conceptual and critical thinking
- Strong writing skills
- Fluency in English language
- Strong leadership skills, People-oriented, ability to work with minimum supervision ad under pressure

To support this mandate, we are looking for a qualified and experienced individual to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate research activities of American researchers in Indonesia who use AIFIS facilities and services; this includes providing logistical support for their efforts, helping locate partner Indonesian institutions and scholars; and providing opportunities for them to share their research and experiences with the Indonesian community
- Coordinate the cooperative use of facilities, personnel, and programs with AIFIS partner institutions and agencies in Indonesia
- Foster friendly, cooperative and productive relationships with departments and agencies of Government of Indonesia and with international organizations inJakarta; seek ways to develop scholarly programs and exchanges in cooperation with these departments, agencies, and organizations
- Work with the Resident Director on necessary narrative reports on activities, and other documents; Submission of monthly reports on financial operations to U.S. office
- Serve as a translator of written and oral Indonesian as necessary to the operation and services of the Center
- Assist in insuring that AIFIS meets all registration and reporting requirements for operation as a research center in Indonesia; this includes registration with appropriate Indonesian government agencies and reports and remittances to taxation and employment offices
- Assist in the development of ideas for Center programs
- Maintain statistics on library use, computer use, requests for information on AIFIS programs, and requests for funding and fellowships
- Plan and run lectures, seminars, workshops, and symposia
Requirements:
- Indonesian National
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia
- A high level of computer, website, and database competence
- A full understanding of processes and scope of research activities in Indonesia
- Ability to promote AIFIS within academic circles
- Skilled at program planning and reporting, contract management and overseeing a medium-sized operation in an international standard internal management and governance environment
- High level interpersonal and cross-cultural skills, a good understanding of educational issues in the Indonesian context
- Strong leadership skills, People-oriented, ability to work with minimum supervision ad under pressure
