Sampoerna School of Business

From February 12-14, 2011, 12 students from Sampoerna School of Business (SSB) competed in the Southeast Asian English Olympics at Anggrek Campus, Binus University. The opening ceremony was an opportunity to meet the other 360 participating high school and college students from four countries: Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and, of course, Indonesia. Calling themselves GeiGE, SSB Student breezed through the preliminary rounds held over the first few days. GeiGE were the only team to create a documentary video, which they promoted to other participants and encouraged them to vote for their favorite movie. Day five was the Octo Round, where the SSB team competed against other talented students in Story Telling, News Casting and short Movie Making. Congratulations to SSB student Adam Ahmad Damanhuri, who won second prize in the Short Movie Making competition for his film “I Dare to Dream”.
