Putera Sampoerna Foundation took the initiative to establish a school that aims to create country’s future leaders consisting of qualified individuals who will contribute to the economic development not only for the country, but also for the countries in the South East Asia region and Asia Pacific. Established as an international business school, Sampoerna School of Business (SSB)’s main vision is to become a leading international business school in Indonesia and in the Southeast Asia with a focus on ASEAN business studies.

Sampoerna School of Business offers two bachelor programs: Bachelor degree in Accounting and Management with specialization in finance, management or marketing by adopting a learning model that utilizes the experience, understanding, and testing aided by innovative teaching methodologies in a small class environment so that each session given in class will be very effective.

Using only the best and world-class curriculum and teaching methods, the graduates of Sampoerna School of Business are guaranteed to have the academic quality above the average with multidisciplinary knowledge and expertise, as well as having a holistic understanding on the development taking place inside and outside the country, while having social sensitivity and business ethics.

Considering the importance and needs of having a research center about ASEAN studies, SSB established ASEAN Business Study Center (ABSC) that will equip its students, business practitioners and researchers in the region with important data and research findings about business practices in ASEAN.

Apart from that, SSB curriculum has been designed to enhance the competency level of students in the early years of the study, where students will be faced with different types of decision making required in the real world. In addition, SSB graduates will also be able to understand the constantly changing global business environment so that they will be ready and able to adapt to new careers and work across disciplines throughout their lives.

Apart from the mutually beneficial relationship between SSB and private sectors that has been established so far, SSB students will also graduate as people who are multi-skilled and highly sought after in the market, therefore it is easy for SSB graduates to find jobs. Besides having the ability to adapt to the changing demands of the business world in the global marketplace, they also have skills on problem solving, decision making, applied research, and changes management in the workplace.

In creating younger generations with good business intuitions and skills, Putera Sampoerna Foundation aware the need to get supports and assistances from the stakeholders, including government, private sectors, and individuals. Such support could take the form of funding that would enable prospective students to have the opportunities of obtaining quality education at the Sampoerna School of Business and emerge as individuals who are able to put Indonesia on the international business map.
