|
The common vision and mission of creating a new generation of educators, served as the impetus for the establishment of the cooperation between the Sampoerna School of Education (SSE) and Massey University, New Zealand, since April 2011 last year. One form of such cooperation was through the donation of 50 books on education and general knowledge from New Zealand on Tuesday (21/02), at the SSE campus, Pancoran, South Jakarta. The books were handed over in person by Brendan Mitchell, International Manager, Office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor, representing the College of Education, Massey University, to Prof. Paulina Pannen as Dean of Sampoerna School of Education. In addition to the book donation, the Massey University visit was also to discuss the Joint Degree Program agenda between SSE and Massey University as well as the plan to send SSE students to Massey University for its literature program. As an educational institution that aims to create a new generation of teachers, Sampoerna School of Education is expected to continue improving the quality of learning and education in the future. "It is our earnest hope that graduates of Sampoerna School of Education will become educators that are professional, high-quality, creative, innovative, critical and capable of competing globally in order to carry out the duty of creating future leaders of Indonesia”, said Paulina Pannen. |
