When he first set foot in the United States, Erriawan understood that moving and living in a new country was a challenge, including communication. Erriawan strives to be active in various campus organizations and socialize with students to increase self-confidence and facilitate communication in English well.
Erriawan viewed that the teaching-learning method applied in the United States was pleasant and not one-way. This spurred students to think actively and creatively, not just memorize. The lecturers or instructors really help students to understand the lecture material. Not only by conventional means, but by interactive methods and able to facilitate students in conveying ideas and ideas.
Erriawan had time to do an internship at Pertamina Hulu Energy. There, Erriawan was given a project in the field of Electrical Subsmersible Pumping, where he learned a lot and understood about the production process and the workings of the oil and gas world. After graduating, Erriawan wanted to return to Indonesia to apply the knowledge he had obtained in the United States in order to contribute to the Indonesian oil and gas industry in producing renewable energy. He has a vision that in the next 10 years, he will become an engineer who is great in drilling and working in a multinational oil and gas company
