Jakarta – To continue improving the quality of education in Indonesia, PT Penjaminan Infrastruktur Indonesia (Persero) together with Binar Teachers, initiated by the Putera Sampoerna Foundation, are holding an Online Teacher Training Scholarship Program.

This program targets 5 regions—Bali province, Malang city, Semarang city, Southeast Maluku regency, and Murotai Island regency— with a total of 735 teachers registered participants from PAUD (Early Childhood Education) to SMA/SMK (High School/Vocational School) levels.

The scholarship program was launched online on December 13, 2022 by the Director of Business, Andre Permana, as the Acting Executive Director of PT Penjaminan Infrastruktur Indonesia (Persero); the Secretary of the Directorate General of Fiscal Balance, Mariatul Aini, as the Commissioner of PT Penjaminan Infrastruktur Indonesia (Persero); and the Head of Guru Binar, Juliana.

The launching was also attended by the Head of the GTK Division of the Bali Provincial Education Office, Seputra Ariyadi; the Head of the PTK Division of the Malang City Education Office, Budi; the Head of Elementary Curriculum Section of the Southeast Maluku Regency Education Office, Rycardo Kalkoy; the Secretary of the Morotai Island Regency Education and Culture Office, Ujang Bagindo; and the Head of GTK Development Department of the Semarang City Education Office, Sri Rahayuningsih .

“We carry out this program as a form of contribution to the improvement of Indonesian education, especially through technology integration in learning in the era of the Merdeka Curriculum,” Andre Permana stated (13/12/2022).

The whole program will be implemented in two months until February 2023. The training sessions provided will highlight the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, including Learning Teaching Modules, Learning How to Differentiae, Analyzing Learning Achievements and Designing Learning Objectives, as well as Developing Learning Objective Flows.

To enhance the participants’ comprehension of the training materials, Guru Binar also provides synchronous Live Coaching sessions with the training facilitators. In the sessions, participants can have intense discussions with the facilitators and confirm good practices and implementations in the classroom.

Juliana said, “The training program we implement is self-paced. The participants train independently and still receive direct guidance from the facilitators. We, the facilitators, promise to help all the training participants implement the material in this training”

As an appreciation to the training participants, a Program Inauguration will be held at the end of this program, in February 2023.

“On behalf of the five selected regions. I’d like to thank PT Penjaminan Infrastruktur Indonesia (Persero) and the Putera Sampoerna Foundation for holding the scholarship program for us. We certainly fully support the implementation of this program until the end,” Ujang Bagindo stated (13/12/2022).

Guru Binar is a teacher career development platform through various training and professional development programs initiated by the Putera Sampoerna Foundation (PSF) in response to the Covid-19 pandemic with the aim of increasing access to knowledge which are tailored to schools’ specific needs.

The implementation of this program is expected to improve access to teacher training at various levels in five Indonesian regions to achieve better student learning outcomes.
